  1. Hi,

When I am tring to create a VCD I get an error message after I enable CDRDAO in the VCDEasy program. The Error message reads "No CD Writer/reader found or ASPI drivers problems."
I have update the ASPI drivers properly(I think) and but still getting the same error message.
    Any Ideas will be great.

That happened to me, but I fixed it. I can't remember how I did though

You don't need VCDEasy to burn though. You can burn the image it creates in Nero, CDRWin, etc.

First off in the bottom right corner does VCDEasy display the message "ASPI seems valid: Yes"? If this says no, then try using the ForceASPI drivers.

If the ASPI is valid, click the settings icon on the left, then click on CDRDAO at the top. In the CD Writer section, select Generic-mmc for the Force Driver. Then go to the top field and you should be able to select your specific CD Writer. Also, check Force Execution in this section.

If VCDEasy allows you to select/change to all of the settings in the above paragraph then it "should" burn to CDs properly.

but the message I get in the bottom right corner is "ASPI seems valid: No" and I an unable to click anything on the CDRDAO screen.

Since it says no. CDRDAO (which is the burning program) cannot work. CDRDAO requires a valid/compatable ASPI driver. In actuality I had forseen that possibly being part of or all of your problem. That is why in my first reply I also said "If this says no, then try using the ForceASPI drivers." The ForceASPI drivers can be downloaded through the Tools section or at: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/frcaspi.cfm .

  6. After you install ForceASPI, immediate REBOOT!

The ASPI drivers don't "stick" until you reboot.
