TMPGEnc Encoding with DVD problem

I am having a problem when ecoding DVD video from DV AVI. I get flicker on motion when deinterlace is activated and no flicker but artifacts when it is disabled. What are the optimal settings for DVD encoding that will eliminate this problem. I cannot use Virtualdub as it will not work with the Dazzle Card.

In TmpGenc make sure the following settings are set this way:
On the settings Video tab:
Encode Mode: Interlace
On the Advacned tab:
Video Source type Interlaced
Field order Bottom field first (field B)
Source Aspect ratio: 4:3 (NTSC or PAL as appropriate)

If you still have problems, try reversing the field order.
