I've got a 3DFX 3500. Watching TV from cable-in is OK (not great), audio works fine. When I select composite or S-Video with my CamCorder hooked up, I get no audio even when just viewing. When connecting the same camera, same cables, same videotape to line in on VCR and output to TV audio is fine, so I know the audio signal is coming out. I'm using the 3500's A/V pod to connect the audio/video input, not the sound card.
I've even tried the audio wizard with 3500 to no avail. Anybody have success with this setup?
I'll probably go with a VCR/Dazzle combo for TV and analog video capture sometime in the future, but for now I would like to get this setup working. Any suggestion is appreciated (even if you suggest I pitch this crap and get some decent h/w

Strange? I don't have an answer but I have the 3DFX 5500 5 AGP card running a Capture card I have no problems with sound from my camcorder. You do have the latest drivers for your card, your imput selection on windows is checked to line on recording in. Is your camcorder stereo, rememeber the imput on the voodoo card is a mini stereo imput, must be using a stereo mini jack for imput also, a mono one will not work, unless you have a cord that is mono on camcorder in and stero(even though it plays mono)mini on video card end. Also you must run sound from Video card to sound card to record audio.
My hookup is audio from camcorder to directly to sound card bypassing the capture card, works the best.
