    I have a great capture that i want to convert to Divx but how do I use VDub to remove the letterbox and the black space on the sides? I think I used to do this but I'm having a brain fart right now...
    Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

    Anyway to the question in hand.

    Open your video in vdub. Click on video->filters. Then select null transform, then select cropping. You can now crop away.
