Ive downloaded the SVCD sample and burned it with easyvcd (cue/bin) ( as being the best promoted )
Unfortunately it will not play as SVCD in my DVDplayer ( Hiteker HE-1500 ) it comes with an error like : 'Disc can not be read by error2'
and then it plays the content as vcd1.1
I have been able to create a vcd2.0 perfectly now i want to do it with a SVCD ( the specs of the player mention that it can play SVCD )
Does anyone know what could be wrong ?
thanks in advance
Edwin

I already found out what's wrong.
Its the firmware in the box which sux. My SVCD's played well on every other DVDplayer I could find ( standalones). Today I even went to the importer in holland and convinced one of the guys there of this fault.
He told me that they are working on a new firmware and would investigate this problem... at least he admitted that this IS a problem of the DVDplayer. His own SVCDS didnt work properly as well while we were trying at his site.
The new firmware will become available on their website within some weeks.
cheers

the reason that my svcd sample would not work is because the file is too small on the disk so the dvd player can not find it. All of my other svcds work fine. Generally if the file is about 30% or more of the disk the play will read it.
