  1. if a video was an mpg at one time and was converted to avi.. and you want to convert back to mpg.. would any quality be lost if you convert the avi back to mpg?
    just wondering cause i had taped one of my backyard wrestling matches and put it on computer to an mpg.. i wanted to edit it so i had to convert to avi due to a simple avi only editing program.. but now i have to convert back to mpg so i can burn it to vcd so i can watch it on a regular dvd player.. any help plz?

  2. With each encoding process there will be a loss in quality. So the answer to your question is yes.
