  1. I want to be able to use the skip frame button without it going all the way to the end of the movie.

The only thing you can do is fast forward and rewind threw the vcd.

  3. U can do it, there are a couple of ways to do it for vcd and svcd, the easiest way is probably to use VCDIMAGER and one of the GUI's for it, just simply click on the mpeg file u want to use, and indicate at what time points you want the 'chapter thingys' to be at it will generate a CUE and a BIN file, just burn this with cdrwin

You record it as separate MPG files, with the splits at scene changes.

  6. It's better to use VCDImager to add 'chapters' at the I-frames then to make several MPEGs as most players pause slightly between tracks.

VCDImager GUI (or for MPEG2 files) TSVC (www.ttool.org) will do the job seamlessly(sp).

  7. yea its a matter of xml

you can scan through the video and then tell it to put points in specific times. so to skip to the indicated point would be either through the |> skip button or the menu navagation.

thats only if you want it to go to "specific" parts in the movie a la dvd.

I think there is a gui that does that but i havent checked it out yet too busy studying xml.

    hope that helps
