  1. this ain't a question out of laziness, i've tried lots of things for lots of hours.

i have an mpg on cd that i want to burn as a vcd...

simple? no, not without nero (expired).

i've read everything (almost) on this site, downloaded several other freeware programs and demos but i still can't get it to happen.

i've searced continually for other programs that may work, but same old same old.

if anyone can help me out i'd really appreciate it.

  2. There are other ways to burn w/o Nero, but I'm actually not familar with them..

Couldn't you always get a newer/older version of Nero (after uninstallation)? If it has an annoying regfile saying you already used up your trial then just delete the regkey.

    Or just buy Nero 5.5

  3. thanx oNikke,

i know there's other ways of burning mpeg w/o nero, but that's where i'm stuck. nothing has worked for me yet.

i'll try d/loading it again (fingers crossed).

but paying us$50... i'd prefer to head-butt my computer everytime i get an error message instead

    thanx again... baz.

  5. yea i had that problem too Id tell you wat to do but i have no idea what other paths you took to create vcd's?

I used cdrwin to burn a bin cue of the vcd created
and i created the Bin CUE image by either using videopack4 (forget about that program its hard to find)
or i created it with VCDimager (a command line program) verry good if you know dos

or a freebee program called MPEG2CUE you jus load up the movies you want in order and the program will create you the bin and cue and then you load up the cue into cdrwin and then burn that sucka!

    hope that helps

  7. I had this problem.
Use VCDgear. Open the app. in the drop-down box, select mpg>bin
When file is converted, burn the .bin/.cue as a VCD.
    Good luck.

I've got VCDGear2, that option doesn't appear to be in the list, all you can do with mpeg is mpeg>mpeg or mpeg>dat.

    Thanx anyway.
