I am new to this, so the question may seem way too obvious.
I recently purchased a Sony DCR-TRV27, and tried it out last Saturday. I made a 5 minute movie, which I was able to easily download using a Firewire card and VideoStudio. The download created an .avi file on my hard disk. In the downloading session, I was even able to burn a VCD from this file using the same software, and the VCD played in my standalone DVD player.
I now want to edit the movie clip to make it look a little more professional. I want to "open" the avi file from within VideoStudio, but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this.
Does anybody know how to do it?
Thanks,
GB

Have you looked through this info yet?
http://www.ulead.com/learning/vs.htmAs Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
You first need to set up a project. Start at upper left hand corner of VideoStudio. Once your project is set up. Open it then go to Story board then go to right side of screen select icon next to drop down icon, add your file to the list, drage it to the timeline/storyboard. Videostudio has a very good help file system. Best that I can do to help.
