i use a voodoo 3500 tv card
when capturing and per this web sites surjested settings (huffyuv) the video it produces say for example 10 second clip the video stream finishes after about 7-8 sec while the audio continues to the end
how do i correct this

How big is your AVI?
have you enabled multisegment capture under capture?
This option will split the AVIs into 2GB-Files. The AVI-file-format doesn't support bigger files.

no this happens what ever the size like the example where i caputered a 10 second file (avi) the image runs a about 120% and the audio at 100%

have you tried adjusting the frame rate? go to video->framerate and check "change so video and audio durations match".
