  1. Hello Guys,
I just bought an Asus V8170DDR video card with TV-Out, so I could visualize what my DVD files look like on TV before burning...
Unfortunately I see nothing through my TV (which I set on Video-in), and the menus where I can switch between TV and Monitor can not be accessed...
    What can I do???

I think you must have your TV connected and switched on while the computer boots up. I have 2 different GFX cards that has nVidia GeForce chipsets (one of them ASUS), and both have this behaviour in common. Also, these cards can drive either monitor or TV - not both at once.

  3. I have a tv out on my geForce4 TI4400 , i run it through my video player using the line in. I however was'nt happy with what i could do with it as a tv out card, so i did a little looking and found that the chip on the nVidea cards is apparently pretty average, as i dont know much about tv out at all i can only take this with a pinch of salt. they recommended a program called TV Tool, which I use and it produces better results than the program that came with the disk.

I think a demo of TV Tool can be downloaded from the tools section here.

    good luck
