  1. Hope someone can help with this, I ripped a movie using Demux aswell so i was left with the M2v and Ac3 file's, I left them overnight to compress, Then the file's were small enough for burning on to Dvd-r, Great i thought but when i put them into SpruceUp to author, After adding the Menu's and stuff it was too big, Is there any other way i can author this so it keep's it's size lower, I basically want to convert these file's to Vob's,Ifo etc, Any idea's???, Thank's,

    a) take out the menus and "stuff"
    b) re-encode at a lower bit rate
    c) chop the credits

    your choices

  3. Sorry but you've completely lost me?, On my hard drive i have file's that consist of M2v and Ac3, As a rule i import them into SpruceUp and compile them into Vob's so i can burn them, But i don't want to add the menu's and stuff, Because the files it convert's to Vob's are too big then, Is there a way in SpruceUp or another Program to just convert the M2v and Ac3 file's to Vob's???, So then i can burn them, Or can you Burn the M2v and Ac3 file's??, I don't think you can though, I think you can convert the M2v and Ac3 file's in IfoEdit but i don't know how to do it, If anyone know's how please tell me, Thank's,

If you have only the .m2v and .ac3 files any authoring software should compile them into burnable files. Spruce or Ifoedit 95 can do this. All aothoring progams will "add" some MB's of additional files when they author. What size are your files, you may be too close to the 4.37GB limit to author them.

based on those sizes -- you are pretty close .. how about convert the ac3 to 2ch and/or lower the bit rate in the audio file ..

then you can use spruceup to author

  7. You should see a 'author DVD' or something in the menu... using it is really quite simple.

  8. Thank's again for the responses, I know i'm going to sound stupid here but i really don't know how to use IfoEdit very well, How do i convert the Ac3 to 2 channel rather than the 6 channel one i've got, Plus i clicked Dvd Author at the top when i loaded my Ifo in and it's greyed out, Do i have to Highlight something first??, I highlighted most of the stuff but nothing came up, Plus in the box it had under the Title Set Movie Attribute's it had 2 thing's called Subpicture 1 and Subpicture 2, Do i need these and if i don't how do i rip them out???, Really sorry for sounding thick but i'm new to this, Thank's,

Using the link that points to the location of IFOedit, there's a guide (zip'd). Download that as it was very helpful. Sorry, I don't have the link right now. Check the HOW TOs (either in AUTHOR or DVD RIP)...

Plus i clicked Dvd Author at the top when i loaded my Ifo in and it's greyed out, Do i have to Highlight something first??
After opening IFOedit, don't load your IFO in. Go straight to DVD Author and select Author New DVD. Once an IFO is loaded, the Author New DVD gets greyed out.

    Hope this helps.

Open Ifoedit 95 and click "DVD Author' - then click "Author New DVD". open your m2v in the video input and your ac3 in the audio input. Select an output directory, should be VIDEO_TS that you alresdy created on your HD. Click to compile the DVD. Ifoedit autoruns the DVD when insert it in your DVD player, since it doen't need a menu to run it may fit. Although with 4.3GB of raw data it mey still be too large.
