  1. Hi all.
    Any advice please.
When putting a transition between two jpeg pictures imported into timeline in Premiere 6, after rendering the timeline the pictures are disappearing altogether and I can see only the black background. As you can guess I would like to make a photo album in Premiere with music. What is going wrong? Thanks in advance .

  2. If you place your photos and transition item (with correct settings) at the right place, you should get proper output. You can drag by the timeline while holding down the Alt key to view the result without having to render the preview.

Please also make sure you place your photo1 at video 1A and photo2 at video 1B and the transition in between the overlap area of the two photo clips. Also make sure the directiron of the transition is correct whether it's A->B or B->A.

Assuming you've checked all the above suggestions, Premiere also has an odd collection of bugs. I have had video render properly on one track and not on another, etc. I believe I have also had the blank photo effect you describe.

I would try slightly resizing the pictures in a photo editor. Also check or uncheck "maintain aspect ratio". See if either of those make the photos appear.

    Hey Art

Had the same problem when choosing 'maintain aspect ratio' for some jpegs. If the jpeg had to shrink horizontally, it would work ok. If the jpeg had to shrink vertically, it would show only the background color. I don't know if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

Fortunately the jpegs that would not work were close to the corect aspect ratio, so I unchecked maintain aspect ratio and it looked fine.

    Hope this helps

  5. Thanks all for your replies.
Megahurts's situation was very similar to mine. As I figure out the problem was aspect ratio. And I believe it's a bug in Premiere.
