    AO5 Firmware 1.0 last Nero. DVD-R Choice Branded 2X.
After 8 DVD-R burnt (AVI, MPG, RAR, JPG):
Half of DVD burnt in 2X have several files i can 't open. Windows Media Player says "error redondance cyclic".
Half of DVD burnt in 1X have same problem.
Is it natural to have to drop 1/2 DVD-R?
Is it a firmware problem? one new is announced in some forum for january.
Is it a bad gestion of the hardware by Nero (some people advice RecordNow max)? Or DVD-R low price are blacklisted in firmware.
The big bad surprise is that older A04 seems to work better than A05!!
Are people able to burn without problems at 1X? at 2X?
Is it a problem of my my own AO5 or have we all those problems? Please i need to know.

    i have had no problems burning now about 200 disks on a 105 (A05) at 1x 2 x 4 x speeds ..

drive is mounted in external firewire .. only disk i ever had bad was a 4x pioneer disk ..

i use nero (sometimes - thanks to the chap with the 1.02 tip!) or prassi burning img files (more often) ..

  3. could be the media.

my dvr-105 cannot read back the princo dvd-rw disks that i burn. however, the same disks can be read on a different dvd-rom drive and even a dvd-player.

tonight burned a cdr on 105 ... with prassi -- , said burning at 16x but it was burning at 1x in reality .. don't know what that is about .. nevr happened before

    then

so tried using nero and everytime nero accessed 105 -- 105 spun up about 1 minute sitting there doing nothing except making weird noises .. rather a pissoff .. (i have multiple dvd burners installed)

rebooted dvd burner and then it worked .. we shall see ...

I know how you feel with this Pioneer bug problem, I have the same problem with my Pioneer A04 and now it has quit working. I advise all be very weary when thinking of buying a Pioneer product, for their customer service is useless and you never get the answer you need.
