in the movie timeline -> right click on one of your chapters and select edit -> UNCHECK both options in "cell playback options"

in CCE - are you using closed GOP's ? or open GOP's .. DVD compliant?
does the raw mepg play ok ?
does the dvd do this on all players and on your pc also ?
is it stopping right at a chapter point ? or just near a chapter?
menus can have a time out but thats not what you are describing . -
also -- make sure you are using the latest version of spruce .. earlier versions had some menu problems - when installed on win2k instead of nt4 .. the latest version is still on the spruce ftp site aviable to dealers (your dealer) ...

It seems SLK_001 have solve the problem in a doom9 forum...I go to try this:
"In your CONNECTIONS window, leave the CHAPTER ENDING ACTION option box empty. Then your DVD will default to the next chapter (which is what you want). I guess that when you put something in this box, it requires the player to find out what you want, then find the address of what you want, then go there. Since the addresses are in the main VIDEO_TS.IFO file, there will be a pause while the player moves the read head over to this file to find the address of the next sector. "
Thanks for your help, BJ_M! -
ahh yes -- i never put anything in there except some special dvds that play 1 chapter and then go back to main menu waiting for further input.
