Hi
I have a few problem flicks 2 .divx
the others are svcds .
I`m trying to convert them in Tmpgenc (I tried a few versions)
even the latest .
but TmpgEnc just crashes/flashes off after a few seconds .
But it does work with other flicks .
I`ve used Gspot & I`m told I have the correct codecs installed .
& I even tried an old , once fail proof trick , I saved audio in virtual
dub & tried to rejoin in TmpgEnc , but no luck .This trick has worked
so many times before .
I`ve found TmpgEnc quite odd for some time now .
Ie: Sometimes one version wont open or support a file , but then
another version will . It can work in both directions . Sometimes
the newer version won`t & an older one will , or vice versa .
So I want to ask if there is another reliable program that may
convert such file types , & where can I get it ?
I can post a screenshot of the properties ,
All help is appreciated
Cheers-

i would say tmpgenc has a better chance of opening any type of file than any other encoder ..
