SpruceUp can import any 16:9 but the final output is always in 4:3. So your not doing anything wrong. To correct this you will need to edit the movie's corresponding IFO file in IfoEdit and correct the apect ratio setting. When you open the IFO file you should see “Title Set (Movie) attributes:”. Double click “Video: MPEG-2 720x480.......” to open the video attributes. In the “Aspect Ratio” box check “16:9”. Resave the ifo and burn.

    Hope this helps

  5. I tried that And it did'nt work, Then i tried the same but this time clicked Letterbox aswell as 16:9 and it still did'nt work, I put the Burnt Dvd into Smartripper and it still said 4:3, When i clicked save in Ifoedit it asked if i wanted to save the Bup file aswell, And i did, Has this anything to do with it???, Also did i have to Author it or save a different way??, Sorry about this, Thank's,

  6. You need to do it in the main movie's IFO file. For example....

If your main movie is VTS_2_0.VOB through VTS_2_4.VOB then the corresponding IFO will be VTS_2_0.IFO.

I suspect that you might have updated the VIDEO_TS.IFO file or the wrong IFO.

  7. open the original dvd ifo with IfoEdit and look which options are in:

    - Menu attributes
    - Title Set (Movie) attributes

and then open the authored ifo with IfoEdit and change same values there...

but in this case you could also use IfoEdit to have original menu and you really dont have to use any authoring programs... and keep the original aspect ratio too...

  8. Thank's for replying again, But i am doing the VTS IFO file, The burnt disc i've done that i set to 16:9 is coming up with 16:9 in Ifoedit when i look at the attribute's, My Tv is'nt Widescreen but when i put the Original in it's got border's top and bottom but when i put my burnt one in it has'nt????, Really starnge this is, I also put Letterbox (Top & Bottom Cropped) on aswell because the other way did'nt work, I'm now going to put Automatic Letterbox on this time in the Attribute's, I don't think it will work but i'll try, I'm just wondering if i have to click "Get VBS" before i save or something as i'm very new to IfoEdit and i have left out doing something that come's naturally to someone who use's it all the time, Basically i'm running IfoEdit, Click open, Open VTS_01_0.IFO, Double clicking the Movie attribute's, Clicking save and then Exiting, Am i missing anything out???, Thank's,

Brummee2000, I use exactly the same method and software.
Ifoedit confuses the hell out of me but I find these instructions from this site work :-

Click Open and browse to the VIDEO_Ts folder and load VTS_01_0.IFO when loaded,
in the top window, click on VTSI_MAT then in the bottom window, double click on
0000200 a pop-up window will appear where you can change the Aspect Ratio, you
    should also tick Automatic Letterboxed
(I look at the same file in the original rip and copy the settings) when done
click OK and then Save and yes to any pop-ups, that's it, you can now playback the film with you're software DVD player before burning to check the results.
