    Does anyone know if the DVR43000 willplay VCD or XVCD on CD-R?

    tried one at radioshack. Does not do VCD on CD-R....

    My DVR4000 isn't supposed to play CD-R's/RW's, but it will play VCD's that I burn using "Princo" Media.

    I have a DVR4300 (purchased right before Christmas) and it does play VCD and SVCD. In fact I've only had one problem with the random sampling of VCD/SVCD discs (CD-R only) I've thrown at it. It was an SVCD disc. I haven't had a chance to go look at the disc/stream and see what was different about it, but when I do I'll let you know and add the info to the compatibility list.
