For those people with slow CPUsIts not very convienent having to do a long encode job all at once.
I know a way to get around it kinda (split the movie up into smaller segments and encode them individually then join back together when done) but it would be much easier just to have a pause encode button, eh?![]()

If your using TMPG you can stop the encode and then a msg box will pop up asking you to either resume or abort the encode. You can then resume later on and TMPG will carry. You can't use TMPG during this pause though, as when you stop it, it goes straight to the message. It's good though if you want to do something else on your PC and then carry on encoding. If however you want to switch off your PC and then resume, I think you'll have to stick to splitting the job up.

Yeah, I really need to be able to log-off, restart PC, etc. Usually I just leave tmpgenc encoding while doing other stuff anyway - don't seem to slow down much.

I know what you mean. Being able to switch off your PC and then resume an encode would be a godsend. Maybe that could be a feature in a future release of TMPG or CCE. There must be a way for the program to log where it's at?
