sound problem after conversion

Hi Im new to this forum and am looking for some advice...when im converting some films to vcd using TMPGEnc the finished file has no sound, I have tried using virtual dub to extract the audio but am getting the same results...dont know it its something im doing wrong or if the files just cannot be converted....divX to vcd

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try and describe the process in more detail. How are you getting the audio from virtualDub? Are you trying to convert a NTSC divx into a PAL VCD? Is it just the one file or all of them?

There's 3 different films Im having this problem with...102 dalmations divX, Cats and Dogs divX and spiderman.....They are all downloaded using verified links from fast track central.

Its PAL I have set for, dont know what the actual films are,,,,,is there any way I can find out? I am relatively new to the vcd burning but for the most part I have had success.

WooHoo read some more of the posts in the newbie section, and tried the enviromental/vfpai plugin make direct show higher priority solution and it cured the sound problems I was having!
