ACM is a standard audio codec, which is commonly used for the audio in an WAV and AVI files. It is installed by default if I remember correctly. I hesitate to suggest what could be causing the error.

What are the specifications of your WAV file (i.e frequency, bits)?

AC3 and ACM are unrelated. Do your AVI's play back without issue? This only happens when you try to encode with TMPGenc? What audio compression options are you using?

  8. ok ! :P
    after 3 days that i allmost shot myself with m -16 !

i know the answer to this problem for xp windows , i really dont know how the other versions run , but its Should be the same way )

    1)go to your control panel
    2)choose sounds and audio devices
3)inside the sounds and audio devices choose hardware
3)there go inside audio codecs and there remove , but only the codecs that not windows codecs !!!!! (divx , xvid and so ... )
    4) go to video codecs and remove all the divx and xvid video codecs !
    6) unistall dvd2svcd and tmpegnc
7)after all those steps , restart (reboot ) the pc !
8)install all the divx and xvid codecs and mpeg 3 layer coedec ! (i dont like nemo pack but you can also install them ) !
    9)install dvd2svcd and tmpeg !
    10) say thank (you welcome ) hehehehe !

Did you inadvertantly remove your ACM codec at some point, or install some codec pak that caused a conflict? It would be more helpful to someone further down the road, if you told them what to avoid in the first place, rather than just a fix for the problem.
