    Thanks all for all the help you guys give me.
    now to my question.
    I´m Newbie on mini DVD.
    How do I do if I would like to convert a *.wav file to *.ac3 file.
    and how do i split up my *.m2v in two pieces.

    I'm not a miniDVD expert re: the question you have. I think if you have PCM WAV file, you'll only end up with a 2.0 ac3 file, which is the equivalent of compressed stereo. You'd probably do as well or better to make your WAV file an MPEG-1 Layer 2 file for use on your miniDVD ... or, perhaps Sonic Foundry SoftEncode makes ac3 files. I've never tried it for anything.

Yes use Soft Encode to make your Ac3 file...if you your ripping from a DVD, then is no need to make a wave file first....just input the ac3 straight into soft encode..and us the app to lower the bitrate on the ac3 file....so you can keep the 5.1 surround..if not, then yes use the wave file...from whatever source you orginally got it from.. email me if you need further help
