I have just bought a maxim dvd player from woolworths and all my svcd`s have lip sync probs.
When I play them on my dansai player they are ok.
Is there a problem with the player or maybe the way they are encoded.
When I encode them using tmpgec I usually use cq setting and use a bit rate of between 2500 and 2900 depending on film length and a quality setting of between 80 and 95.
The audio is usually 192 or 224.
The picture quality is excellent using these settings with very little blocking.
I have over 150 svcd`s encoded like this so its a pain not to be able to watch them on the new dvd and have to watch them on my old one which does not look mor sound as good.
Any help will be great![]()

Sounds like you've made XSVCD's there with the higher bitrates. Maybe the new player can't handle them well.
