  1. I have encodec an DVD video (Men in Black 2) using DVD2SVCD with TMPGEnc following an guide from vcdhelp. But the result video looks terrible... like a painted image... like an 16 color image!
    What happened??
I still have all the files used in the process, like avisynth script and other files used by DVD2SVCD... Is there anything i can do with these files that correct the problem or what setting i have made wrong to create an terrible 16 color video like that and how to correct it?!?

By the way my video looks like this :

Try to add the following line as the last(!) line of the AVIsynth script:

    ConvertToRGB

The other option is to install the HuffYUV codec and deactivate all other YUV codecs in the Multimedia control panel. This could be slightly faster or slower, I don't know. Of course the "real" solution would be

1.) For TMPGenc to accept YUY2 input, which would be faster anyway and also make for a slightly better result since 2 unnecessary and slightly lossy conversions are avoided.

    or

2.) as a not-so-good (but still independently desirable) alternative, for people like Microsoft and ATI to stop shipping broken codecs.

(Please tell me/us if it worked.)
