Help in making svcd copies

I cannot make copies of some svcd's. I'm using Easy Cd Creator 4.02, updated to 4.05. When I use the CD Copier, I get a messege stating, " An error has occurred while reading the CD-Rom drive. Ensure the drive is properly connected and the correct CD is inserted in the drive".

I can burn audio cd's, and have used the CD copier before, and never received this messege.

Also I have never messed with any of the inside wiring, or settings at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

I used to use Adaptec burning software, but I found with each new version the software got bigger and more buggy. I would recommend using Nero to burn (S)VCD.

As to copying SVCD, many people have success with various software. However, my preferred method is to first copy the mpeg to my HD. Then I use TMPG to multiplex the mpeg, and burn the new mpeg to SVCD.

Although this is only one option, it is an option that works infallibly. 8)
