I made Queen of the Damned into 3 svcd mepgs but when I burned one it was fullscreen instead of the 16:9 I selected on TMPGE. I've tried both the 16:9 selection and the 16:9 525 line NTSC selection on TMPGE.

there are 3 different settings you need to worry about:
1) under the "video" tab, set your aspect ratio to 4:3 Display (this is for regular TV. if you have a widescreen HDTV, then you should set this to 16:9. keep in mind that this will only work on widescreen TVs, in case you want to watch it on a friend's regular TV) also, video format should be NTSC if you have NTSC tv and PAL if you have PAL tv
2) under "advanced" tab, source aspect ratio should be set to 16:9 525 line NTSC if dvd2avi said the source video was 16:9. i did queen of the damned awhile ago, and i believe the source was indeed 16:9. if you have NTSC, then it should be 525 line NTSC. otherwise, if you have PAL dvd, then it should be 625 line PAL.
3) under "advanced" tab, image positioning method should be set to "fit to frame (preserve aspect ratio)" or "full screen (preserve aspect ratio)" depending on which version of tmpgenc u have
