  1. I've had my Sony drive for two months now. I've only burned 4 dvd-rs but they were flawless and played on all 3 of my players. Used Spruce-UP or Sonic MYDVD to author and Nero to burn. I"m using Memorex Version 2.0 DVD-Rs as my media.

Now, I've authored a new DVD of miniDV movies in Sonic MYDVD and burned it with Nero 5.5.9.17 and it was successfl. I tried to make 2 more copies and since I've made 6 coasters. What's going on? I looked in the forums for help and read that I could get an error code in NeroHistory.log file. So I did and apparently each fail is this error message:

    #32 DVDR -1135 File Writer.cpp, Line 334
    Write error

So now that I know the error, what is Line 334? where do I go from here?

I have the sony .f patch so I'm current with patches.

I tried changing all my nero settings (no multisession, UDF 1.02, Joliet disabled) and finally got one to burn successfully but it wouldn't play in any of my players.

I'm frustrated here - anyone know what's going on?

  2. Did you change media brands/types between the good ones & the coasters?

  4. Some older media like older verbatims don't work with the drive. Also the lesser name media from the small outfits may not be the same batch to batch (either intentional or not). You might try to get your hands on a decent disk or good RW disk and try again to rule out drive or software problems.
