    I used DVDencrypter to rip the chapters from some dvds I have cause I want to make a compilation. I'm just starting to notice that dvd authoring software doesn't take vob files, they want mp2, mpg files, etc. What tool can I use to "convert" the vob file. Also I'm interested in converting the audio to mp3 or something similar to take up less space. Is there a way I can do this or do I have to start all over?

    well you can create m2v files and ace files DVDencrypter. i am asumming you are ripping it using file mode if so just select your video and audio. just make sure you demux to a extra file for both.......

    I ripped the dvd sections by chapter ifo mode. Can I work w/ the VOB file to get the m2v and audio files or am I screwed?
