Hey,
I was planning to rip DVDs to DVDRs. At the same time, I have a choice of getting a HDTV or a regular TV. Will a HDTV really be that much better? I thought the quality would be worse since DVD resolution is smaller than HDTV so the image would be streched and blurry.
Is this really the case?
Also to simulate HDTV I played some DVDs on my PC monitor. Is this a fair comparison since my Monitor is vertualy native to HDTV specs?
Thanks,

I just bought the new Sony GW XBR, very happy with it. DVD's look awesome. Remember it's been mandated that by 2007 all broadcaster are to go HDTV, though this date will probably slip...
