    When I check the file extension, it shows .avi...

    Can someone help me out with this problem???

    Your computer may not have the necessary codec for the sound to work with the video. This depends on what sound is being used in the video. You have to check the properties of the video to find out.

    Just check on left for downloads or visit www.divx.com for the codec.

    Great program, tells what codecs you need to play the .avi and if you have both video and audio codec installed.
