Hello and thanks to all for the excellent info on capturing.
I put a post earlier, this is sort of part 2. This is the link :

I have an ASUS A7V333 MB, Athlon 1600 processor, 256 Ram, win ME. I am tying to get TV and capture working on my new 7500 AIW. Here is what I have done :

Installed ActiveX 8.1, ran dxdiag to verify. Also installed the capture update.

installed the Microsoft Codecs.

I followed instructions for installing drivers from a thread on the site www.3drage.com. It is under the TV and TIVO support. It was written by Sasha. Here is the link to that:

I have verified that everything is in and running in Device Manager.

When I try to go to TV, I get two error messages :
- The TV application failed to initialize the Capture Device. If the probelm persists you may need to restart your system.

Press enter and the following appears next :
- The TV player failed to initialize the video.
Check the Windows Device Manager to ensure that the correct video driver has been installed and is working properly before attempting to restart TV.

Then I pulled up the configuration program in the ATI Multimedia center and ran the System Compatibility Check. The only thing that got an error was the Capture Driver Installation. The error message says, "Capture driver INF files not installed".

It looks like everything is working according to windows and the error message seems to indicate that this may be something simple. Does anyone out there have any ideas ? I wanted to try here before going to ATI support as I have heard that that is almost useless.

I did have an Intel webcam that I haven't used in a while, could that cause a conflict ? It has been suggested to me to try a clean install of windows and see if that works. If I don't have much luck, that will be next.

Thanks in advance !!
