    is it possible? or is there a hack out there to where I could hookup a 120gb hdd to a DV cam and record to the hdd over firewire?

    not possable yet ... though there stand alone drive storage devices ...

    im sure you will see something like this soon .. (maybe already out there but its got to be the camera controlling things) ...
