  1. Hi. I've been using Virtual Dub for a while to capture live video, and have noticed a problem with the syncing. I select "lock audio to video", but it doesn't seem to work very well. It can handle 1 frame being dropped at a time, sort of... it usually only adjusts 17ms per frame, when it should really be 33-34ms per frame (30fps). The real problem is when it drops a few frames at once, it doesn't seem to notice, or it acts as if only one frame has been dropped. Is there any fix for this? Is there a better program out there I should be using instead? Thanks.

I would try a differnet program. There are many free ones, what could it hurt?

I use VirtualVCR and "sync using stream offset." I've tried many, virtualdub (I still use it for editing and stuff), IUVCR, AVI_IO, and some I don't even remember......

  5. I thought I had downloaded that one, but when I ran it, it's somethingthing called freeVCR. It seems to be all right, too. I'll try virtual VCR as well.

Nah, they're two different things. I had FreeVCR a while back and deleted it. I can't remember why......
