  1. I´m trying to convert a DivX avi into VCD. So far, I tried about 10 Movies with only one succesfull conversion. The other ones where either out of sync or didn´t encode all the way. I know that there are lots of different DivX files (Xvid, 3vix, DivX5 etc...). I´m using ffmpegXg to convert the files. Now my qustion: Do I have to convert the avis first to mov (using Divx Validator or Divx Doctor 2, or DivosX tool, or avi2mov) in order to convert them with ffmpegX? Should I leave thm unchanged (avi)? Which avi to mov conversion tool should I use? Is there a "foolproof" way to convert them?
    thanx

  2. yes, better to have them in a .mov container, and you can use Divx Doctor II from 3ivx.com for that.

Why not try to encode your DivX files to vcd with TMPGEnc?
It is much easier, then you can burn it with Nero or other burningsoftwares.
