  1. I'm to lazzy to search. Is there a easy way to convert a Quicktime .mov file into mpg? I don't like QuickTime and don't have it on my PC

It can be done, but I think you need Quicktime installed, which kinda defeats the point of it for you

  4. I installed QuickTime. Effect 1: Can view trailer. Effect 2: Network on PC with QuickTime crashes when shared folder is accessed. After unistall: Network is ok. Result: QuickTime sucks.

  5. Thanks. But I've been beaten. Tried several tools, but got only the movie. The LotR trailer seams to have a copy protection for the sound. None of the tools could extract it.

  6. You might want to take a look at RAD Video Tools.

    Freeware from http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm

Does a good MOV to AVI conversion - but it's FAQ seems to say that you need Quicktime installed to do the conversion
