when i try to merge mpg's using tmpgenc its says one file isn't compatible with the others how can i fix that?

Convert them all into the same format. Just make them into a PAL or NTSC VCD file and then they will join, as they'll all be the same thing.

Encode one of the files to match the other: Load TMPGEnc, select File-->
New Project. Load the first video, note the settings at the bottom of the screen, then load the second video. The settings should NOT change. Then ENCODE the second video, using the first video's settings. This should get rid of your error, because both videos have the same format.Hello.
