I've recently purchased the software Photo2VCD and it does not work. Please do not be fooled by the miss leading ads from tobee about how great his software is...it doesn't even work and this is what I get trying to get a refund from them.

I have told you clearly that we have refunded your order. Please contact info@swreg.org directly for this issue. And don't send anything to us again. If you like, you can do anything as you wish includes taking legal action on our company about Photo2VCD. And i can give your another great idea which may help you to earn a lot of money. Why not to take legal action on Microsoft about its Windows? It costs you so much but you still need to pay for upgrading.

There is no way you can contact anyone for help with their software if you had any problems. It takes me about 5 emails to them and this is the responds I get. His comments about Microsoft is irrelevant and has nothing to do with me using his none operable software. Please do not buy this software.......it's a rip-off!!!!!!!!! Also I've had contact info@swreg an outside vendors which states that I must get the refund from Photo2VCD and not them. So if you intend to buy this software please don't or else you will be facing the same issue I am dealing with this moron.

I am just here to tell us how to use Photo2VCD to creat a photo video CD. That's all. And in my opinoin, it is the best one for a newbie to burn his photos into a video CD. I have purchased it few weeks before and today i am glad to receive an email from Photo2VCD about the upgrading of Photo2VCD Professional. I also admit that there are some bugs with current version of Photo2VCD. But none software can be claimed as a NO-BUG one, include MS Windows.
By the way, i have tried the new Photo2VCD Professional v1.50. It's really very great. -
Two different opinions... hmmmm.....
I suggest that any beginners play it safe. There are probably better Photo VCD making programs out there that are know to work (and if you are willing for less automation and more work, free).

I'm using version 1.78 professional. and when I get to the burning CD part there's a button that says "REPORT BUG" along with "NEXT" and I think "CANCEL"
... kinda phucked up when the program have a report bug button next to one of it's function... that don't give me total confidence.
anyway. I tried Photo2VCD and PicturetoTV and I have to say I like PictureToTV alot better.
1) PIctureToTV seems to have a easier to use interface while not sacrificing any of the options/features of P2V
2) PTT (PictureToTv) shows you how much time your photos takes P2V doesn't which is kinda annoying
3) PTT lets you use music and own background image on the Disc menu P2V doesn't
4) PTT can automatically adjust the delay between pictures to sync with the audio tracks.
I did a SVCD test burn of my photo on my CDRW. with P2V and my DVD player can't read the disc. (I know my DVD can read it cause I burned stuff to it before and it's with the same os & disc). Even though P2V have the SVCD option and PTT doesn't what good is it if it don't work?!
Yes both progam stores the original photo on the CD I think it's standard for PhotoCD. (my original pic is in JPG format. I dont' know if the standard for Photocd will convert the format if u have other format..)
I did 2 VCD comparision with PTT and P2V and this is the result
1) WOW P2V has alot of transition effects.. BUT the the translation effects leaves ALOT and nasty/noticable macroblocks. probaby due to some translation effects have alot of movements. PTT have no macroblocks.
2) Overall PTT have better image quality.
3) This kinda annoy me but not sure how others might take it. but the VCD that PTT makes in the beginning it would play a 2 second screen that says "Created with PIctureToTV"
I would recommend PictureToTV. it's the same price and offer more features and quality pictures. (only downside is no SVCD support u have to pay extra $15 for a plugin
