    Which are the fastest and quality DVD rippers? Since most of DVD burners have ripping speed locked at 2x, I guess the fastest is within DVD-ROM drives.
    Also, can rippers that go beyond 4x, simultaneously copy DVD to DVD-R at fast enough systems?

    What are bottlenecks in this system:
    WinXPpro SP1
    P4 2.26Ghz
    256MB PC3000
    WD400BB

    liteon 16x dvd-rom. It'll rip up to 12X.

    and yes, you can do both at the sametime.

    Your harddrive(s) should be also defragmented to get the full ripping speed.
