  1. Hi I have a bunch of MPEG files I want to author in DVD Maestro. I usually import .m2v and .ac3 files into Maestro but can't seem to get the .ac3 file extracted from my MPEG's. I have tried DVD2AV and TMPGEnc (MPEG Tools). I can get the m2v file but no audio file that Maestro will accept. Is there any program out there that will demux a MPEG file into files that Maestro will accept? Thanks

  4. BJ_M,

Hmm, seems like my captured MPEG files only contain an mpeg audio file (mp2). BJ_M do you know how I can get a ac3 file demuxed from my captured MPEG file (saved as MPEG2 via WinDVR 2).

Basically all I want to do is Author my vid captures using DVD Maestro. Right now I can extract a m2v and mp2 file, but Maestro won't accept mp2? Maybe I need another capture program that will grab ac3? or something that can convert mp2 to ac3? Or some other audio file Maestro will accept maybe?

Any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks

  5. Actually I think Maestro should accept mp2? Yet I get invalid sampling rate error? What should my caps be sampled at for Maestro to accept?

  6. I'm sampling my audio as Layer II, 224 kbits/sec, stereo. Only selections I'm allowed at bitrate and mode?

  7. is the audio at 48khz ? That is the standard for DVD....not sure if that is what is causing maestro to not accept it, if anything you can convert the mp2 to wav with 48khz, 16bit, stereo, which is the standard for DVD audio and use that in maestro.

besweet can convert mp2 to ac3 .. make sure its always 48khz sample rate

you cant de-mux a ac3 stream from a program stream if that program stream has not ac3 file in it ..
