problems playing vcd

Okay I burned my Mpg's using nero so they were obviously converted to vcd. First I used a cd-r, which my player won't play as it says on this website and then I used a cd-rw and the company is imation, I believe and it still didn't work. And yes my dvd player is on the list on this site and it says it will play vcd using cd-rw with a silver bottom and that's what I used! So what is the problem?

the fact you used a cd-rw , try a cd-r it should work
