When I make a DVD with more than one movie on it or a Dolby Digital trailer before the movie there is no counter displayed when playing it back on a stand alone DVD player just a row of dashes -- -- --.
Anyone know how I can correct this?

well there are three ways but the one really correct way is to grab all your video streams on the time line after you have edited the lenth (you can edit in maestro) and export as 1 mpeg ... then import that new mpeg back in - as 1 file .. set time code to asset based and set offset if you need ... then attach your ac3 file which should be 1 file already made with timecode to match your first asset .. if you have several ac3 files - you can combine them with the ac3 combiner that spruce includes but i use either vitec ac3 editor or better way is to attach each ac3 file to each video asset (before you exported video as 1 file) and create 1 ac3 file for whole project (prefered method) ..
this all takes a couple minutes really and your audio and video will be in sync ..
dont forget to add the audio offset if needed (and if you dont burn time code into your ac3 encode) before triming video and exporting audio stream ..
