    Hi
I have been using PowerVCR2 for a while.
I like the results I get and others I have sent samples say they look great.
I am just puzzled by one thing.

If I capture using PowerVCR2 I use an edited DVD Pal profile.
If I capture at 8000 played back averages 6500 bitrate.

If I capture using PowerDirector 2.5 Pro same bitrate and settings playback bitrate averages 7900. Filesize is bigger too.

If I capture using WinDVR2 same resolution and bitrate, playback bitrate averages 8050.

I get good results with all three. but could someone explain why the PowerVCR2 file has such a low average bitrate??? I prefer this program out of the 3 of them.

    Cheers

  5. It may have something to do with the VBR mode used. If you can't see any difference in quality, then the smaller file is better.

Are u saying PowerVCR captures at a variable bitrate by default?
I don't think there is any option to turn this on or off ??
