  1. This program has so much but as in all Ulead software it is so frustrating!

The DO not reencode Compliant MPEG seems to work in reverse (unchecked doesn't seem to reeincode).

It won't open VOB as a recognized file type but you can open a VIDEO_TS folder full of VOBs (except on a Video DVD).
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

The "do not reencode" button works fine for me as is.

Sunmanking, there is a checkbox for not reencoding, though I'm sorry I don't remember where it is (I'm not at my DVD authoring PC at the moment).

I found that Womble mpeg2vcr can open a VOB and save it as an MPG that DMF2 will import, though Womble's pretty pricey if you haven't bought it already.

Haven't had any sync problems, though I have gotten a buffer underrun error.... even though I had the "enable buffer underrun protection" box checked and my drive has that feature. I just might be using DMF to make the folder and burn with Nero or VOB.

  3. I've tried the demo out, and mine opens my vob's I ripped that I ripped into a big vob. I didn't try to use the vob as an audio source tho. I used dvd2avi to rip a little audio clip. It was fast, sweet, and and in sync. (err) Anyway, I can't wait to do more tests, and most likely I will get this too.

  6. I have downloaded Movie Factory 2 and have created a few SVCD's with it, only niggling point being main menu mandatory with 1 MPG. My question is has anyone had any problems capturing DV AVI in Video Studio 6 after upgrading to Movie Factory 2. Since upgrading I get dropped frames every so many minutes, whereas previously I rarely got dropped frames at all. I have defragged my hard disk (2 60GB maxtors configured in an array) and still it drops frames. I have also upgraded to Movie Maker 2 and this captures fine with no dropped frames. Any help would be appreciated.
