  1. I would like to put a 2 hour DVD onto 2 SVCDs rather than the default of three, using ffmpegX. I have a couple of q's I would be greatful for answers for :P

Would this be achived using the bitrate calculator on the video tab, or the options on the vcd/svcd tab? either way, how?

Is it possible to split the discs at specific chapters (rather than right in the middle)?

Is it better to rip the dvd as a vob or the streams?

    TIA!

gee i wonder... maybe because its a PC program and this is a MACINTOSH forum.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  5. Reducing the quaily a little bit is cool, I just want to make sure I'm still making a SVCD, (not XSVCD).

Reducing the quality would mean lowering the bit rate. Any time you increase or decrease the bit rate from the standard 2500 you end up with an xsvcd.
