I have burned backup copies of a number of my old DVD's and VHS tapes using Nero to CD in VCD format. I noticed when making the copies that "CD is copyrighted" comes up during the scan process. It burns the copy and it works perfectly thereafter. One day I was asked by a friend to make a copy of a VCD we were watching at his house. He had a standalone duplicator. After attempting to burn the copies for him using this device, it didn't work on one of the movies, but did on the other. It would play but the picture was all spotty and corrupted. The other copy played perfectly. I took them home and tried to determine why one would copy and the other would not once again using nero to burn both. The only difference I could find between the two was the one that wouldn't burn on the standalone said CD is copyrighted, the one which would burn using the standalone did not say this when using Nero. My question is this...when burning the VCD using Nero, is there some reason why I am getting this result when both original DVD's were copyrighted, both ripped using the same software and then burned using Nero? Why would this occur? Also, is there some checkbox or function I may be overlooking that would remove this when ripping or burning? Thanks
