i did everything that the guide told me to do with virtualdub, but when i did save wav it did this error:" requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format".
i chaked the file inforamation and i saw that the compression is unknown the reason i did a new topic is becz i dont think my audio is ac3 becz i can see the movie in WMP plz help me.

If you capped in PCM Mono at 44 Khz, and try to extract a stereo WAV, it won't work. In VDub, under Audio/Compression, change codecs on the left and look at bitrates on the right. If it's not displayed it won't encode to it. (make sure you have the 'show all' box unchecked). This is one reason people cap in stereo even though they have a mono cap card. You can make a mono into a stereo, but you need to use another program to do it.

Check your bitrates also, look at the files properties to see what your audio bitrate is.
