  1. Greetings and Salutations!
I'm working on putting together a VCD for my employer. I've been testing it out, but am having problems on authoring the video clips. I'm using CDMotion to do the authoring and using the TMPGEnc program to convert my AVI's to MPG1's. When I'm compiling the clips I get an error message that I can't seem to figure out how to resolve. It's says "one or more audio packs exceed maximum pack size of 2304 bytes." Does that mean I have to lower the bitrate of my audio? If so, using TMPGEnc, it won't allow me to change the bitrate unless someone knows of a way around it. Could anyone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated!!

  2. I have never used (or heard of) CDMotion, as I use Nero and/or VCDEasy to do my authoring. I would suggest getting Nero and try it.

Also, if you want to screw around with the audio bit rate in TMPGEnc, you need to load the unlock.mcf template and it will open up everything. The unlock.mcf file is located in the extra folder. Just click load, find the extra folder, and double click on the unlock.mcf file. Then click on setting, audio, and you can lower the audio bitrate. But don't go below 160 or it will sound like crap.

  3. I've used CDMotion and I personally think that it is a poor effort. Also, I'm pretty sure that this program got discontinued years ago.

I suggest that you try VCDEasy.

    Regards.
