Hi, I got this AVI of MEmento which when I try to make a VCD or SVCD I can`t get the audio to sync, I have tried Vdub and Goldwave but both are out by a few seconds.
Anyone know a way around this or should I just watch on my PC
Thanks Doot

I have exactly the same problem with Memento, straight from Kick off the sound is out of sync, but the original avi file looks (and plays) fine.
What you need to try is in TMPGenc when you select Source Range in Advanced properties, do a 30 second clip. Now view that clip and see how many seconds you think (trial and error guesswork here I'm afraid) the sound is out of sync.
Now go back into TMPGenc and Source Range again, at the bottom you will see the option 'Audio Gap Correct', this is in Milliseconds, so if you think it is 3 seconds out, you need to put in 3000.
Give it a go, it might take a while getting it bang on, but it's worth it coz Memento is such a classic film!
Good Luck!
