Using Virtualdub for capture (huffyuv compress) , TMPGEnc to encode the *.avi file to *.mpg file, Burn with VCDeasy as an SVCD1.0 for the CVD. I have been successful with this.
Now I want to do divx but unclear on what the guides tell me. I want to make divX CD's that if I want to I can go to CVD/DVD later. From reading it seems like I may not have enough PC speed to do real time divX cature with virtualdub. Here are my questions:
Is it possible to capture as I have been using vitualdub and then convert the *.avi I get using huffyuV to a divx *.avi (or can I encode the captured file directly to divx mpeg4 format?
How do I take my resulting capture *.avi (either captured directly with divx codec or converted huffyuv captured *.avi to a divX *.avi and burn this file to a CD? What is the equivalent of TMPGEnc for divx? What Burn program I don't see divx in either VCDeasy or Nero (maybe I don't know what to look for)?
Thanks
EDIT: A real newbie question. The bitrates for the divX look very low compared to the CVD so does that mean that if a divX is later converted to an SCVD/CVD/DVD that this too will be low bitrate and horrible?
Also The cd's that I want to burn are for use on the PC. If I later convert to SVCD that is for the TV so that is why I want to know how to do both formats.
