authoring with ulead dvd workshop ver 1.3

i am having some problems with authoring i have converted an avi in to mpeg 2 format and it checks out fine

i then import it to ulead still no problems until i get to the make disc once i have selected the disc size and the such and let it start converting it comes up with an error

which reads failed to convert video title error 80041c21

any help would be greatly appreciated

Please provide some additional information.

1. Did your .avi file originate from a DV camcorder or some other source?

2. If your .avi file originated from some other source - which?

3. After you converted your .avi file to MPEG-2, the MPEG-2 file should exhibit some very specific video/audio properties. Please provide those properties.

For example, I often work with MPEG-2 video files that have the following specific properties:

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 704 x 480, 29.97 fps
Field Order B
(DVD-NTSC), 4 : 3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8800 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

How do the properties of your video/audio compare - in every detail - to the properties above?
